Language is my profession. People are the reason it fascinates me.
I am curious about people — how we think, how we understand one another, and how language, culture and context shape the way we experience and interpret the world.That curiosity has taken me in many directions: from Classical Philology and languages to psycholinguistics, clinical research and exploring different cultures through travel.
Language is one of the ways I explore these questions. Meaning never exists in isolation; it emerges through the interaction of language, context, culture and the person interpreting it.
This is what continues to fascinate me professionally: the space between what is said, what is meant and what another person understands.
