Writing
Thinking about language — reflections on linguistic precision, psycholinguistics, Clinical Outcome Assessments and meaning.
Language is my profession, but it is also something I rarely stop noticing.
I write about Linguistic Validation, Clinical Outcome Assessments, psycholinguistics, translation and meaning — often starting with a question, a linguistic detail or something unexpected that makes me look twice.
Some of my writing comes directly from my professional work: conceptual equivalence, Cognitive Debriefing, semantic drift, reviewer judgement and the ways in which seemingly small linguistic choices can affect interpretation.
Other pieces begin somewhere entirely different — in literature, travel, another language or simply a word that refuses to behave quite as expected.
The subjects vary, but they usually begin in the same place: something makes me curious enough to stop, look closer and ask why.
